Tee-up for The Leaven

I am not a golfer. When I step-up to the tee, I tend to swing the club more like a baseball bat then a golf club; the result is long-ranged but wildly inaccurate shot. I’m also pretty bad at Mini Golf, much to the delight of my young nieces and nephews.

IMG_0296Even though I am a terrible golfer, I enjoy heading out onto the links for an afternoon. I generally designate myself as a driver and camera person, ferrying around my friends and taking photos throughout the day.

Last year I was lucky enough to join The Leaven at their Annual Golf Tournament. It was an incredibly beautiful day, and it was an absolute blast hanging out with all of the friends and supporters of The Leaven.

But what made it even better was what came next. After the tournament was over, and everyone had packed up their clubs for the day, the money that was raised to support The Leaven inspired big changes in the lives of kids and families.

Because of friends like you, we were able to offer our Summer Success program at all of our Leaven Centers so our students started the new school year strong. By supporting The Leaven, and joining us at our Annual Golf Tournament, you ensure that we can not only run our current programs year after year, but also begin new programs in new communities.

Keep an eye on our website and your in-box over the next few weeks as we’ll have more information coming soon about how you can join us for a great day of golfing — and helping kids and communities rise. If you’re not already receiving our e-News and messages, sign up at MyLeaven.com.

If you’d like to sign-up for the Golf Tournament or get more information today, email Steved@myleaven.com.

By joining us for our Annual Golf Tournament, you not only will enjoy a wonderful day spent on the links, but also change the lives of hardworking families right here in our community. And that’s even better than a hole-in-one.

Together we are helping kids and communities rise.
