Events that stand the test of time are few and far between. While we may enjoy a fun-filled day or an exciting sporting event, how long will it be remembered in the future?
In a few weeks’ time, the NFL pre-season will begin, kicking off the long road to Super Bowl 50, which is being held in San Francisco this year. But this year’s Super Bowl will be exciting for more than just the football being played; this year’s Super Bowl also hopes to make big changes off the field.
As part of San Francisco’s host efforts, the 50 Fund has been created to help support local Northern California charities that are making a big difference in the lives of children and families right here in our communities. The 50 Fund seeks to extend the Legacy of Super Bowl 50 beyond the game, making a lasting difference well into the future.
Thanks to the 50 Fund, we know this year’s Super Bowl will live on in the memory of many of Californian’s hearts for years and years to come because the excitement on the field will be helping to inspire change all around our neighborhoods.
We are proud to announce that The Leaven has been chosen as one of the 50 Fund’s partner charities for Super Bowl 50. This means we’ll be receiving special grant funding to support our work and help make our communities better places for our children and their families.
We are so thankful to live in a region that supports each other, and so thankful to have been recognized as an important partner for our community to help make lives better for all of our neighbors.
